Paint Correction in Brisbane & Gold Coast
Paint correction is a term used to describe the permanent removal of imperfections in the paintwork of your vehicle such as swirl marks, fine scratches, marring, spiderwebbing, buffer trails, animal droppings, water marks and the list goes on.
Knowing how to tackle each defect accordingly, using the least aggressive method to do so to preserve your car’s clear coat is very important and comes with experience and knowledge. Paint correction is a true correction of the paint (not a filler) which can take anywhere from 2 – 15 hours and upwards depending on the level of correction required.
At Superior Detail Solutions, we take pride in providing the best possible results, with each package receiving the best possible correction to improve gloss and achieve superior clarity of your paint work. “Cut n Polish” is a term you will generally find being used by car wash businesses and detailers doing a “quick buff”.
This is the reason why costs are significantly higher with paint correction due to the additional hours required in providing a true correction of the paint. Please be aware that every car’s paintwork is different, certain defects may not be able to be removed due to clear coat and other factors. Advice can be provided upon sighting the vehicle.

Paint Correction Packages
All of our paint correction packages include the following:
- Snow foam pre-wash which helps dissolves dirt and debris prior to washing
- Two bucket system with grit guards and wash with neutral pH balanced soaps
- Decontamination process on all painted surfaces and glass
- Clay bar to remove all contaminants
- Door jambs cleaned
- Glass cleaned
- Wheels cleaned and tyres dressed with a non-sling tyre shine
- Machine polished using modern techniques, highest quality tools and polishes
- Gtechniq C2V3 spray sealant with 6 months protection or upgrade to one or our ceramic coatings
- Final check over and inspection of all surfaces worked on
SINGLE-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION/ ENHANCEMENT
Polishing the paint work in one step. This is suited to paint work in reasonable condition, demonstrator vehicles and new cars to remove light swirls and marring.
This involves polishing the paint work with the right polish and buffing pad combination, getting the best possible results in defect removal, providing a high gloss finish at the same time in one single step.

DUAL-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION
Compounding (abrasive polish) the paint work to remove moderate swirl marks, light scratches, water marks and other defects. This is followed by a polish and finishing pad to refine the paintwork.

MULTI-STAGE PAINT CORRECTION
A lot of paint defects can fall under this category such as heavy swirl marks, random isolated deep scratches (RIDS), bird dropping etching, water and acid etching.
Wet sanding may be required for the removal of these defects, followed by heavy compounding and polishing to refine.
